Cynthia McKinney

Cynthia McKinney, a Democrat served six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives and made history in 1992 when she became the first black woman to represent Georgia in the House.

After a controversy of reportedly slapping a Capitol Hill police officer who asked her to present identification, McKinney left the Democratic Party and ran for president on the Green Party ticket in 2008 but was unsuccessful.
