Dwayne Johnson
After making $65 million in 2017, the 46-year-old former professional wrestler has almost doubled it this time to $124 million, making him the highest ever acting take-home in the history of Forbes’ Celebrity 100 rankings.
The bulk of his earnings have been attributed to giant upfront paychecks and a cut of profits on blockbusters including “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.”
The famous actor and producer’s huge social media following has also contributed to this feat.
“Social media has become the most critical element of marketing a movie for me,” Johnson says. “I have established a social media equity with an audience around the world that there’s a value in what I’m delivering to them,” he told Forbes in an interview.
