North Africa does not escape the earthquake zones in Africa with Egypt, Algeria and parts of Tunisia as very susceptible. However, Morroco leads the North African countries, with more than 70 per cent of its area prone to earthquakes.

The country has a list of severe earthquakes with it’s most recent recording a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale in June 2018.
