Banyamulenge in the Democratic Republic of Congo

The Banyamulenge are ethnic Tutsi who dwell in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Predominately in South Kivu, the Banyamulenge experience conflicts with other ethnic groups such as the Mai-Mai, the Tutsi and the Hutu. For the aforementioned reason and lack of governmental support, the Banyamulenge have been forced to leave their homes in search of safety.

What makes the situation even dire is that they are not welcome by other ethnic groups. Some have had to move out of Africa to resume a semblance of normalcy.
