A shocking video showed the moment a large-scale fight broke out among unhappy guests on a Carnival Cruise ship, reportedly over “chicken tenders.”
The New York Post reports that a passenger who recorded the chaos said that the fighting between roughly two dozen brawlers broke out on board the Sunshine at around two in the morning on August 18, the final day of the ship’s journey, as the ship was returning to Miami.
“Where the f-k is security?!” one onlooker could be heard yelling in the footage as passengers traded blows and slammed each other to the ground.
Several security officers were seen attempting to break up the fight, and as shoes flew, one overwhelmed officer fled the scene and reached for his radio.
Bronx content maker Mike Terra, who captured the commotion on camera and posted it on his social media accounts, stopped at one point to record his opinion on the matter.
“Over chicken tenders is crazy,” Terra stated in the video.
Terra captioned his video: “I always hear carnival is ghetto/ratchet I been cruising for years but this my 1st time seeing some action on a ship I was on YNs was tripping.”
Later, in response to curious commenters, the passionate cruiser described the disturbance as an “isolated incident” that started over “more” than food at around two in the morning after the ship sailed from Miami.
Terra later told The New York Post, “We weren’t close enough to know why [the fight] really started, we just knew they were in line for food.”
It’s unclear what caused the uproar.
The ship left Miami on August 14 and returned to the Sunshine State on August 18, after making two stops in the Bahamas.
This is not the first time a Carnival Cruise has spiraled into violence. In April, a huge fight broke out while passengers disembarked from a week-long Caribbean vacation. The cruise line banned 24 passengers as a result of the incident.

Another viral incident broke out on a Carnival cruise ship in 2024 when passengers apparently fought over a slice of pizza.
Passenger Nick Richardson shared a video on YouTube that captured a bunch of fellow passengers hurling chairs, tackling each other, and hitting one another in the Carnival Paradise buffet area.
