Rapper Big Sean made it clear that he’s not in a new relationship after his speculated breakup with singer Jhené Aiko.
Per PEOPLE, the 37-year-old Detroit rapper denied the claim when a social media blog claimed that he had found a new girlfriend after he and the To Love & Die singer, with whom he shares a son, had reportedly parted ways after dating for 8 years.
“Damn! Big Sean Spotted With Alleged New Girlfriend After Wasting Jhene Aiko’s Time for 10 Years,” the No Skips Tea blog captioned in post on Instagram.

The video in question was a snippet of a livestream that YouTuber N3on was hosting. In the video, the Mercy rapper is seen entering a room being occupied by other people before he passes an unidentified woman.
The 37-year-old and the woman, however, do not have any conversation whatsoever. Big Sean ultimately responded to the post after he saw it.

“Yeah unfortunately i never met this person in my life lol,” he wrote. He also shared a second comment for more context: “This girl was standing next to @hitboy who is cut out the video. I dont know why the f— she was so close to me though. I didnt see it at all til i saw this video and can understand the frustrations. Smh ????. But i dont even know this person at all.”
Big Sean and Aiko met in 2012 while the latter was romantically involved at the time. The pair later seemingly confirmed they were dating in 2016. And though they later split in 2019, they rekindled their relationship in 2022, PEOPLE reported.
In a 2024 interview with iHeartRadio’s Charlamange Tha God, Big Sean explained why he and Aiko had not married and shut down the claim that he and the singer had “a secret industry marriage.”
“We’ve had our ups and downs, you know what I’m saying? And I think it’s still finding the right navigation through it all,” he said. “To me, marriage symbolizes, like, the best relationship.”
The 37-year-old added: “I would like to, and I don’t like putting our personal business out there like that either, but there’s a lot of work that needs to be done.”
