Sean “Diddy” Combs’ family spokesperson has denied a report claiming that the embattled music executive was caught drinking alcohol in prison.
“Mr. Combs is in his first week at FCI Fort Dix and is focused on adjusting, working on himself, and doing better each day,” Combs’ family spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, told TMZ.
“As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there—most of them untrue. We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose.”
The 56-year-old’s family similarly denied the initial report in a statement they shared on his official X account.
“The rumors claiming Mr. Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false. His only focus is becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family,” the statement said.

TMZ had initially reported that prison officials caught Combs drinking homemade alcohol in the low-security prison. Prior to his sentencing, Combs, in a letter to the judge, stated that he was sober for the first time in two decades.
“The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn. Prison will change you or kill you — I choose to live,” he wrote.
As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Combs is expected to complete his federal prison sentence in May 2028 unless he gets a pardon from President Donald Trump.
Bureau of Prisons online records show that the disgraced musician’s 50-month sentence for violating the Mann Act will end on May 8, 2028, according to a report by Complex.
The release date factors in the fact that Combs has already been in jail since September 2024 including federal sentencing guidelines that state that if he meets certain qualifications, he will serve only 85% of his time, the report added.
The 56-year-old music mogul has reportedly been looking to have his sentence pardoned by Trump.
