American rapper and singer Travis Scott, who has amassed 10 total Grammy nominations throughout his career, is confident he will eventually see true success at the event in the near future.

Speaking about what to expect at the Recording Academy’s annual celebration of the best in music, Scott responded to a post listing himself alongside other artists like Nicki Minaj and Playboi Carti, who have never taken home a win.

He said these words on November 7 on X, the same day the 2026 Grammys nominees were announced.

“This will change for me one day,” La Flame, who recently surprised fans in Japan with a mid-show appearance by the artist formerly known as Kanye West, wrote. “[Just] wait.”

At the 2024 Grammys ceremony, Scott, whose previous nominations include Best Rap Album nods for Utopia and Astroworld, voiced his frustrations during a live rendition of fan-favorite “FE!N” with Playboi Carti  during a performance.

“They slept on me 10 times!” Travis Scott said at the time, with a line from the hit Utopia track’s first verse.

In the past, Scott and those close to him have aired similar frustrations in connection with prior snubs for his 2016 album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight.

The top songs vying for Best Rap Album at the upcoming 2026 ceremony are Clipse’s Let God Sort Em Out; GloRilla’s Glorious; J.I.D’s God Does Like Ugly; Kendrick Lamar’s GNX; and Tyler, The Creator’s CHROMAKOPIA.

Although the official host of the ceremony is yet to be announced, winners will be unveiled during a live ceremony next February.

Doechii’s Alligator Bites Never Heal won the Best Rap Album at the 2025 ceremony, but Travis Scott is aiming for success at next year’s big event, knowing it would bring him immense joy to finally end the streak.
