50 Cent is known for his bluntness and for openly expressing his feelings about certain things. Despite being an outspoken person, the rapper and filmmaker recently made it known that he steers clear of topics such as religion and politics.
50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, touched on why he abstains from those topics while he was addressing an audience at the premiere of the Moses the Black film in West Hollywood, Billboard reported. The 50-year-old, who produced the project, explained that though the film is religious in nature, the focal point should be on the entertainment part.
“There’s two things they tell you to stay away from. They tell you to stay away from religion and stay away from politics, because no matter what you think, someone passionately disagrees with you,” 50 Cent explained.

The Power star then made reference to fellow rappers Kanye West and Nicki Minaj. The pair have previously made headlines and become topics of discussion on social media because of public comments they have made about politics and religion.
“I stay away from those things. That’s how Kanye f***ed up,” he said before the audience responded with laughter. “Then, Nicki said some sh–. You know, it feels crazy, but it is very accurate.”
Kanye, 48, and Minaj, 43, have drawn divided opinion because of their political and religious views.
During President Donald Trump’s first term, Kanye openly endorsed him and even wore a MAGA cap during a meeting with Trump. Kanye later stoked further controversy on social media when he shared several antisemitic posts. Besides that, he also sold T-shirts emblazoned with swastikas on his website. His actions ultimately led to multiple brands parting ways with him.
Minaj has openly expressed her support for the Trump-JD Vance administration. She also took to social media to propagate a Trump administration claim that Christians were being persecuted in Nigeria. Minaj recently made an appearance at a Turning Point event that was hosted by Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk. A few days ago, she called out journalist Don Lemon on social media after he covered an anti-ICE protest inside a Minnesota church.
