A 29-year-old Memphis teacher has been arrested on allegations that she was grooming a 14-year-old middle school student. She also allegedly gifted the teen an iPad with naked photos and videos of herself.
Per FOX 13 Memphis, the teen’s mother saw the naked photos and videos of the teacher, identified as Kelsey Whitmore, when she browsed through the iPad that the accused woman gifted her son. Besides the iPad, Whitmore also gifted the teen student a cell phone at a certain time.
The victim’s mother further said that her teen son previously went to Whitmore’s home to spend the night.
The police affidavit stated that the 14-year-old’s mom alleged that her son and one of her teachers had been frequently hanging out. The affidavit added that the student’s mom later saw naked photos and videos of Whitmore on the iPad the teacher gave to her son. She is said to have made that discovery earlier this month.
The teen’s mother said that the accused teacher took her son out to “eat, to church, to get his hair done, to get his nails done, and to buy him shoes.” The complaint said the mom “now believes… Whitmore was grooming her son.”
The complaint also said that Whitmore provided a statement, and she admitted to giving the teen student the iPad in October. The accused teacher additionally confirmed that the nude photos and videos on the device were of her.

In January, Face2Face Africa reported that a Louisiana middle school counselor committed suicide following allegations that he sent inappropriate messages to a minor.
Per TMZ, the deceased man, identified as Quinton Dixon, worked as a counselor at Westdale Middle Magnet School in Baton Rouge.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said that Dixon’s body was found at Glen Oaks Middle School with a fatal, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities said that Dixon allegedly started sending a 14-year-old flirty messages on Instagram between November 2025 and early January. A warrant for Dixon’s arrest was ultimately issued, and he was slapped with four counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
The warrant stated that though Dixon ultimately became aware that the teen was in high school, he did not stop sending her messages. Besides making a comment regarding her sexual orientation, the warrant alleged that Dixon also showered praise on the teen by telling her that she was “cutting up to be so pretty.” The deceased counselor is said to have added a fire emoji to his complimentary comment.
Dixon was additionally accused of asking the minor if she had a boyfriend in the messages that he sent her, The Advocate reported. He also told the teen that she was attractive, and suggested that they become romantically involved.
The warrant stated that Dixon’s messages to the teen were “consistent with grooming behavior in pursuit of an intimate relationship with the minor victim.”
Dixon was ultimately placed on administrative leave after his alleged actions came to light, WBRZ reported.
