Achieng Abura

Lydia Achieng Abura was born in Eldoret, Kenya.

Originally a gospel singer, Abura switched genres and began performing Afro-fusion and Afro-jazz.

Abura crusaded for the Global Call to Action Against Poverty – an international coalition of campaigns to end poverty and challenge inequality. The organization is involved with millions of individuals.

Abura was also the acting principal for East African Project Fame, a Pan African reality show held in Johannesburg, South African from June to August 2004.

Abura died October 20, 2016.
