Black feminism states that sexism, racism and class oppression is a collection of challenges that plague black woman. Therefore, these problems must be combated on an individual and cooperative basis.

Some black celebrities have used their platform to shed light on the empowerment of black women, in an artistic or unconventional way.

Whether it’s a power anthem in the form of a song or the formulation of an organization that is geared towards assisting the black women, these women have been instrumental in helping women realize that they are powerful, fierce, beautiful and more-than-capable individuals.
