Western Sahara independence
The A.U. is in the process of determining a lasting solution to the Western Sahara crisis. Western Sahara has been trying to get its independence from Morocco, which wants it to be a self-governing province.
The A.U has always denounced Morocco’s occupation in the region but this will be the first time it has directly gotten involved in the crisis.
AU Commission chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat s set to present a report on the issue.
Western Cameroon and Central Mali were also under discussion to find a way towards peace.
