African parents are especially notorious for this – going on a full spousal hunt for their children at someone’s wedding instead of focusing on the event at hand. Although this gesture is really done out of love and concern, it is quite embarrassing as most African children would rather enjoy the wedding instead of being hooked up to all and sundry.
