According to Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, Rihanna was given the prestigious duty because of her impact on her country and her philanthropical work in education. Known as Rihanna, Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born in Barbados to Barbadian parents in 1988. The music icon turned cosmetics mogul moved to America when she was a teenager to pursue a music career. With hit songs such as Diamonds, Umbrella and We Found Love to her credit, the 30-year-old has also made a name for herself in the action and fashion worlds. Rihanna has close to 30 awards to her credit with 9 of them being Grammy Awards.
