Kenyans, like Ghanaians, are also living with another rather fascinating practice that is fast becoming a lifestyle attached to funerals: professional mourners. Just as the name implies, these people get paid to attend funerals and cry, as if they care. All that matters, in this case, is that they actually shed tears and charm out emotions from other sympathizers.
Many would argue that it is wrong to profit from funerals and people who are grieving but by and by, many young people are making an actual profession out of this, even as the demand for their services increases.
