Gorilla meat is considered bushmeat in Central and West Africa. Consumption of bushmeat is as ordinary as bathing in countries like Sierra Leone and Cameroon. Besides having a palette for the unusual, gorilla meat can be consumed due to the scarcity of other types of meats.
