Mia Amor Mottley

Mia Mottley is a Barbadian attorney, politician, and Leader of the Barbados Labour Party (BLP). On May 25, 2018, Honorable Mottley became the eighth and first female Prime Minister of Barbados. She came into the parliament of Barbados through a victory in the 1994 election as part of the new Barbados Labour Party government. She served as the Attorney-General and Deputy Prime Minister of Barbados from 2001 – 2008, making her the first female to hold the position. Mottley is the current Prime Minister of Barbados.
