Kamala Harris

Kamala Devi Harris is an American politician and attorney. She was born on October 20, 1964. Harris began her career in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office. She became the District Attorney of San Francisco in 2003 and the Attorney General of California in 2010 and was re-elected in 2014. She was a junior United State Senator representing California from 2017 to 2021. Due to her victory in the 2016 senate election, Harris became the second African American and the first South Asian American to serve in the United States Senate. She became the running mate of Joe Biden in the 2020 election, and following their victory in the polls, Harris became the first-ever female Vice President of the United States of America, the highest-ranking female official in the country, and the first Black woman to hold the position.
