Meghan Markle’s marriage to Prince Harry is not her only ties with the royal family or to royal blood; there is a more direct link to the English royal family. Meghan is a direct descendant of King Edward III, who ruled from 1327 to 1377. This makes her and her husband Harry 17th cousins.
In a report by The Sun, Meghan’s 12th grandmother, Isabel Hildyard, was the second cousin to Jane Seymour, the third wife of King Henry VIII, thereby deepening the already existing royal connections.
