Actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery proposed to his girlfriend Dannella Lane at Beyoncé’s star-studded show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
According to People, 43-year-old Lil Rel captured the touching moment in a montage video that was uploaded on Instagram. The video begins with Lil Rel taking the engagement ring out of its box and kissing it while driving to the event. Lil Rel and Lane are later seen in the video enjoying themselves at Beyonce’s show. Soon, Beyoncé and Lane are on the jumbo screen, as Lane turns her head to see Lil Rel down on one knee. She hugs and kisses him after the surprise proposal.
He captioned it: “SHE SAID YES!!!! What a story lol. Thanks @mstinaknowles and Jay for helping make this special moment happen. Tonight @beyonce put on an amazing B Day show thanks for letting have a little time on your show lol to make @dannellalane my fiancée… Love On Top!!! #LoveIsInTheAir #TheProposal.”
Lil Rel has two children from his previous marriage to Verina Robinson, to whom he was married for six years before they got divorced. He also has a child with LeChez Davis. The bride-to-be, Lane, who also has four children from her previous marriage to her ex-husband, shared her pleasure on social media.

She thanked Tina Knowles, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z for helping her fiancé pull the surprise off. Concurrently, the day of the concert also marked Beyoncé’s 42nd birthday. Many famous people came to celebrate the music legend, including Adele, Zendaya, Tom Holland, the Kardashian-Jenners, Katy Perry, Lizzo, Vanessa Bryant, Chris Rock, Kate Hudson, and Kelly Rowland, Entertainment Tonight reported.
Beyoncé’s fans also surprised her by holding up yellow and black balloons to wish her a happy birthday. During the event, Diana Ross led the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” to Beyoncé, and Kendrick Lamar surprised everyone by performing a remix of his song “America Has a Problem.”
