Endangered species that would suffer if DR Congo opens its national parks to oil drilling

Bonobos

Wild bonobos, uniquely found in DRC, south of the Congo River, live in Salonga Park. Known as the last great ape to be scientifically described, not much is known about them.

They are also considered the closest relatives to human beings because they share  98.7% of their genetic code with humans.
