Blessings in kisses
The elderly are revered in Dominican communities and a blessing from them goes a long way to make life better for the younger folks. It is common to see young people take the hands of the elderly and kiss it. Any elderly figure like their grandparents, an uncle or their parents which is essentially a way of asking for blessings which they believe they get.
