Tout Puissant Mazembe (TP Mazembe) – 1939

The Congolese club based in Lubumbashi is one of the highest ranked football clubs in Africa. Formerly known as Englebert, TP Mazembe was founded in 1939 and has since been making a lot of strides in African football. In 1967 and 1968, it won the African Cup of Champions. The team would be finalist four times successively in (1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970). Mazembe was the first team to successfully defend the African Champions Cup. Currently, around 18,000 spectators watch their matches in the home stadium Stade TP Mazembe.
