Al Ahly – 1922

Before Egypt gained its independence in 1922, it had already formed football club Al Ahly, which means “The National”. Founded in 1907, the club has become one of the most successful football clubs in Africa and currently has one of the highest market value. Al Ahly has won 107 domestic and 19 international titles so far. In 2000, it earned the title “Africa Club of the Century” by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
