Africans have made history at the The 2013 World Athletics competition.
For the first time, there were two Africans at the podium. One of them is Ivorian sprinter Murielle Ahoure` who has made history by winning one second medal within just five days. She came in second place right after Jamacian sprinter Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce.
Another African athlete making history is Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare, who came in third place. This is a second medal for Ms. Okagbare, making her a vice world champion in the long jump.
