Chale Wote Street Art Festival is one of the largest festivals in Ghana, West Africa. Typically held in the third week of August each year, the free community-based festival brings thousands of people from within and outside of Ghana to celebrate the country’s arts and culture.
Chale Wote takes its name from the word, ‘chale’ which means friend and ‘wote’, which means let’s go in the Ga language. Below is all you need to know about this year’s festival and something to look out for as Chale Wote positions itself to be a household name in Ghana and beyond.
