Dr. Dre can’t forget his electrifying performance with Snoop Dogg at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The American rapper teamed up with Snoop Dogg to dazzle the audience, delivering a memorable rendition of their hit song “The Next Episode.”

In an interview with ET’s Nischelle Turner on Monday, Dre described the performance as “magical.”

“It’s magical. I don’t even feel comfortable performing without Snoop,” Dre said. “There’s something about the synergy that me and Snoop have that’s really interesting.”

He continued, “Really, Snoop, he’s the superstar. I’m the co-star when we get on stage. It’s different when we’re in the studio, you know? I’m the captain when we’re in the studio, but when we go outside, Snoop is the guy.”

The 59-year-old rapper also praised the producers of the pre-taped performance for their meticulous execution.

“The Olympic Committee handled that. I was wondering how they were going to do it, and nobody had cell phones or anything like that. It was filmed the day before it aired,” Dre explained. “So trying to keep that a secret for that amount of time seemed like it would’ve been impossible, but they made it happen!”

The closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics was a star-studded event, with other A-list performers including Billie Eilish, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and H.E.R.

The next Olympics will take place in Los Angeles in 2028.
