Ice-T clapped back at a Law & Order: SVU fan who threatened to boycott the series after the veteran rapper and actor approved Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show performance.
The fan in question addressed Ice-T after he quoted a post from an X account, which said that Bad Bunny’s halftime performance reportedly amassed over 135 million viewers.
“Haters can Hate….. But they ALWAYS lose…. Always,” Ice-T, 67, wrote on the post on Monday.
The fan in question later quoted Ice-T’s post and sent out a warning to the Law & Order: SVU writers’ room.
“iCE T is done for me, if @SVUWritersRoom even thinks about bringing him back even part time, I’m out and have watched this show from the beginning. This is just sad that he had to go and open his mouth again. This show will be done if people see him back on the show. #IceT #SVU,” the fan wrote on Ice-T’s post on Tuesday.
But the Colors rapper fired back at the fan and made it clear that he was not going to lose any sleep over the threat.
“B*tch please don’t leave!” Ice-T responded. In a follow-up post, the 67-year-old wrote, “For me… Having millions of people disagree with me and dislike me is absolutely the NORM for my entire life… It’s never stopped Anything. Stand for something.. Have some Fn Courage.”
Ice-T subsequently quoted a post that shared a photo of him on set for the series. “oh Sh*t! On location… NYC today…,” he wrote.
After the NFL announced Bad Bunny was going to headline this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, several conservative supporters and politicians, led by President Donald Trump, registered their displeasure with his selection.
Bad Bunny, who is an outspoken Trump critic, performs in Spanish. Despite the backlash that came his way, the 31-year-old’s historic performance at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Sunday received several positive reviews.
