Patience Masua

Patience is currently a serving MP in the Namibia National Assembly. The Namibian lawyer and politician was appointed MP by President Hage Gottfried Geingob in April 2021 at age 23. Patience was born on January 7, 1999, in Gobabis, Omaheke, Namibia, and she moved to Windhoek with her family. While studying law at the University of Namibia, she became a mainstream student activist and politician. She won the Speaker of the Student Parliament (UNAM – SRC) in 2019 and later served as the Secretary-General of the Namibia National Students Organization. Her appointment as an MP makes her the current youngest MP in Namibia and the current youngest female MP in Africa.
