A man described as a “serial butt sniffer” was re-arrested and charged last week for allegedly repeating the lewd behavior.
Per TMZ, Calese Carron Crowder’s arrest came in the wake of his release on a $100,000 bail after he was similarly charged for sniffing someone’s rear end. Authorities also said that Crowder, 38, had committed those highly inappropriate acts on multiple occasions.
Burbank police said that Crowder committed the recent incident at a Walgreens in Burbank, California, on August 20. Crowder was arrested after store employees called the police and he was booked in jail on August 21.
Weeks before the August 20 incident, Crowder was arrested in connection with sniffing a woman’s butt in Burbank. That July incident occurred at a store, and the woman was shopping when the 38-year-old suspect allegedly sniffed her butt. Surveillance footage captured Crowder committing the “lewd” act.
Crowder had already fled the department store when authorities arrived. Officers eventually located him at a neighboring Walmart in the Empire Center retail mall on Victory Place.
“Using the store’s surveillance system, officers monitored the suspect as he moved through various departments,” according to a July 24 Burbank Police Department press release. “While in the women’s section, the suspect was observed following a female customer, crouching near her, and engaging in lewd behavior by inappropriately sniffing her buttocks.”

Given the nature of his behavior, officers contacted the suspect and held him for additional investigation, according to the statement. Prosecutors ultimately charged Crowder with one count of loitering with intent to commit a crime for that incident. He was later released on a $100,000 bail.
Authorities noted that Crowder was on active parole and a registered sex offender at the time of the July incident. According to authorities, Crowder has “a documented history of similar arrests for lewd conduct in both Glendale and Burbank, dating back to 2021.”
KTLA also reported that he gained national headlines in August 2023 when he pulled the same act on a woman at a Barnes & Noble in Burbank, which was captured on video and ended up becoming a popular TikTok post. He was also identified as a suspect in several prowling offenses and arrested the same month on suspicion of peeping into a family’s occupied house in Glendale.
Dozens of women came forward to share their personal encounters with the same suspect, according to Michaela Witter, the person who uploaded the first viral TikTok video.
Additionally, Crowder was accused by the wife of former Los Angeles Lakers forward Robert Horry of stalking their teenage daughter over ten years ago. “He needs to be put away for good,” Candice Horry wrote on social media.
Crowder also has a long criminal history, with convictions for burglary, robbery, and indecent exposure. He was also accused of several prowling crimes in Glendale.
