Plymouth, Tobago

When the Latvians tried to settle in Plymouth, Tobago in 1642, they were met with resistance from the Carib Indians, who fought them off. In 1954, it became Tobago’s first real settlement by Europeans when the Latvians came and colonised the natives.  The Europeans also built a fort overlooking the Great Courland Bay.
