National Museum of Namibia
Housed in Windhoek’s oldest surviving building, which dates back as far as the early 1890s, the National Museum of Namibia has an excellent display of Namibia’s independence.
The building originally served as the headquarters of the German Schutztruppe – the official name of the colonial troops in the African territories of the German colonial empire from the late 19th century to 1918.
For a blend of history and leisure, this is probably your right stop.
