Akon

Aliaume Damala Badara Akon Thiam is a Senegalese-American rapper who’s belted out hits like “Smack That” and “I Wanna Love You.” He’s been featured on records with Michael Jackson, Gwen Stefani, T-Pain, and Snoop-Dog. Akon formulated the Konfidence Foundation for disenfranchised youth in Africa. In 2014, he founded Akon Lighting Africa which has provided electricity by way of solar energy in 15 African countries.
