The Maasai Mara National Reserve, also known as “the Mara,” is arguably the most startling wildlife spectacle in the world. This is where you get to witness the rare wildebeest migration, earth’s most spectacular natural wonder. The Mara is located in Kenya’s Rift Valley Province and is estimated to cover 520 square kilometers. It’s home to hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, lions, leopards, zebras, gazelles, elephants, buffalos, and many others.
