A Detroit woman, Brittany Walker, and a man, Samuel Payton, are facing serious charges, including torture, after allegedly attacking a 44-year-old wheelchair user in a Detroit apartment.
Prosecutors say the pair attempted to force-feed the victim bleach and left him with severe head and brain injuries during the January 29 assault, according to FOX 2 Detroit.
Walker, 35, and Payton, 62, allegedly assaulted the 44-year-old wheelchair user after an argument, attempting to force bleach down his throat, according to FOX 2 Detroit.
The victim sustained serious injuries, including a cranial bleed and a fractured left orbital wall, and was hospitalized following the attack.
The relationship between Walker, Payton, and their alleged victim remains unclear. Both Walker and Payton were arrested in February and charged with multiple felonies, according to court records.

Their bonds were each set at $1 million. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office and the suspects’ attorneys have not yet commented, according to PEOPLE.
Payton has been charged with torture and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, while Walker faces the same charges along with three additional counts, including assault with a dangerous weapon, first-degree vulnerable adult abuse, and assault or assault and battery.
Both suspects pleaded not guilty and are scheduled to appear in court on May 28.
