TikTok content creator Desiree Salter went viral after she uploaded a video of her anointing a JetBlue plane with holy water before boarding the flight, the New York Post reported. Salter’s actions seemed to have piqued interest on the social platform because of the recent airplane crashes.

In the video which has amassed over 5 million views, Salter is seen holding a bottle of holy water and pouring it on her fingers before using the liquid to paint the sign of the cross on the plane’s door area. A gospel song is also played in the background.

“In Jesus name we pray… AMEN!! ???????? #JetBlue #airlines #flights #noweapon #thedevilisaliar #pastorkid #church #Prayer #churchtiktok #PuntaCana #blessed #covered,” she captioned in her post.

Salter posted her viral video in the wake of recent airplane crashes, with some of them being fatal. On February 17, a Delta plane that was landing in Toronto crashed on the runway and flipped upside down in the snowy weather. Luckily, everyone on board survived, but 21 people reportedly sustained injuries.

On January 29, a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter collided midair with an American Airlines passenger plane with 64 people on board. The plane was preparing to land at the Reagan Washington National Airport while the helicopter was on an “annual proficiency training flight.” Sixty-seven people were reported dead.

Salter’s post received several comments from fellow TikTok users who commended her spiritual endeavor. “You protected that whole plane,” a user commented.

“I ain’t mad at ya! Amen!! Safe travels!” another user wrote. “Why is everyone hating? I’m in love with this idea she protected the whole plain AMEN,” a different user also said. “I’ve always done this when I travel, my kid’s dorm room, when I stay in a hotel,” another user wrote.

But a different user begged to differ. “This is stupid just bc [because] you rubbed some oil on a plane doesn’t mean your gonna have a good flight just doing it in your heart is enough, this is just doing it for social media,” the user stated.

Salter, however, replied that she “actually had a WONDERFUL flight!” “Seriously one of the better flights I’ve had in awhile…. But okay dear,” she added.
