In under four minutes, the Watoto children’s choir dance and sing their way in to viewers’ hearts as they praise God Almighty.
Watoto Child Care Ministries sprouted out of a need to care for the many widows and orphans that abounded in the East African nation during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in 1994.
Since then, Watoto founders and husband and wife team Gary and Marilyn Skinner used their planting of their Watoto Church to build wholistic communities (including schools and community centers) around orphaned children by placing them in families and giving them the emotional, spiritual, and educational support they need to contribute to society and fulfill their respective destinies.
And now more than 10 years later, the ministry has reportedly ushered thousands of children and widows in to a better life.
