The celebrity wedding bells could soon be ringing again as PEOPLE reported Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz are engaged after dating for two years. The report of the couple’s engagement comes after Tatum, 43, and Kravitz, 34, were spotted leaving a Halloween party with the Batman actress conspicuously wearing the engagement ring.
The couple reportedly became romantically involved in 2021, with a source telling the news outlet last year that they were “very happy” as a pair.
“Their careers are a big focus and they share this passion,” the source said at the time. “When they are off, they are very low-key. They enjoy quiet date nights with friends but most often just hang out at home.”
“Channing is serious about Zoë. It’s not a casual relationship,” the source added. “They have been exclusive for a long time.”
Kravitz and The Lost City actor met at the casting for the upcoming Pussy Island film. The film is Kravitz’s directorial debut, and she said in an initial interview that Tatum later became her protector while on set.
“Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever — he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet,” she recalled. “I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test. And we came out even stronger,” she added.
Kravitz in her feature for WSJ. Magazine‘s Fall 2022 Women’s Fashion issue also touched on working with Tatum on Pussy Island and the positives of that. “When you make things with people it’s a very sacred space, and when you’re compatible with somebody creatively it often opens up other channels, because you’re kind of sharing all of yourself,” she said. “I’m really grateful that this movie has brought him into my life that way.”
And though Tatum did not talk about their relationship in an interview with Variety last year, the 43-year-old actor described Kravitz as a “perfectionist in the best possible way.”
