AWCAA 7th Annual Pink Ball

The goal of the African Women's Cancer Awareness Association is to empower Africans diagnosed with cancer to be their own best advocate. The organization hopes to create awareness about cancer in African countries and help to magnify the voices of those affected by the deadly disease. Their goal is to make huge advances in the fight against cancer, especially for the underserved and uninsured in the African community.

The AWCAA Annual Pink Ball is a fund raising gala that benefits all African women around the world, diagnosed with breast cancer. While more Americans are surviving cancer, there is a growing number of uninformed Africans diagnosed with cancer who are not surviving. By 2020, there will be more than 16 million new cancer cases globally.  The cancer community has made extraordinary progress in many parts of the world, but this is not true in the developing countries, especially most African countries.

Please join us at the AWCAA Annual Pink Ball on November 18th 2011 at the Hilton Washington Hotel, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville MD. 20854. For more information please click here. You can also contact Mrs. Ify Nwabukwu  President and Founder, AWCAA at 301-565-0420.
