The hostility between Ilhan Omar and President Donald Trump continues to exacerbate, as the two politicians recently appeared to call each other out again.
Per TMZ, Omar, 43, took to social media to call Trump, 79, out after he sternly rebuked Somali immigrants in Minnesota during an interview on Fox Business on Tuesday. Trump, in the interview, also appeared to mention Omar, describing her as a “fake congresswoman.”
“Somalia has come in here — what they’ve done to our country, these people — they’ve come into our country, and what they’ve done with that fake congresswoman. She’s so bad,” Trump said in the interview, though the reason behind the president describing the Minnesota lawmaker as a “fake congresswoman” could not be established.
Omar, on the other hand, was having none of Trump’s allegations, as she appeared to hit back at the president in her post on X.
“The leader of the Pedophile Protection Party is trying to deflect attention from his name being all over the Epstein files. At least in Somalia they execute pedophiles not elect them,” Omar wrote on X, per TMZ.

Omar and her family immigrated to the United States from Somalia in 1995 to escape the civil war in the African nation. She became an American citizen in 2000.
Omar’s “pedophile” reference was in relation to Trump and deceased convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s previous association. Trump has particularly come under scrutiny after the Department of Justice released the Epstein Files. The president was named several times in the file. But Trump has maintained his innocence, claiming that he severed ties with Epstein several years ago.
Omar and Trump have been repeatedly going at each other in public and on social media, with the president questioning her patriotism and telling her to return to her native Somalia.
