On today’s instalment of #ThrowbackThursday, we share a video of revolutionary ex-Burkinabe President Thomas Sankara criticizing France’s long-standing and unwarranted involvement in African politics.
He also criticizes then French President, Francois Mitterrand for allowing ex-apartheid South African Prime Minister and President Pieter Willem Botha to travel to France.
This was Thomas Sankara criticising France and its involvement in coups in Africa, and installing puppets.

Sankara boldly addressed Mitterrand in the face when he visited Burkina Faso in 1986. He was assassinated in a coup organized by his supposedly good friend Blaise Compaoré the following year.
