Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese was left stunned after losing a $100,000 bet to NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal during a viral basketball challenge.

Playfully, Reese underestimated Shaq’s skills, and challenged him to an impromptu free throw competition, doubting as to whether the Hall of Famer still had his touch, and jovially placed the high-stakes bet, as per a MARCA report.

Much to her surprise, Shaq effortlessly took on the shot, standing right beside Reese as he nailed the free throw to stun her and win the bet on the day.

The WNBA star couldn’t contain her laughter after seeing the ball roll into the net, and realized the four-time NBA champion still had the skill in him.

“I guess I owe him $100,000,” Reese joked on her Instagram Stories, and added crying emojis for good measure.

The video has gone viral all over social media, shocking many fans who knew the hefty sum at stake. Some fans commented, “That’s her entire contract,” while others quipped, “Isn’t that her entire salary for four years?”

Despite losing that sum to Shaq, Reese isn’t too concerned about her finances.

With a four-year contract worth $324,383 with the Chicago Sky, alongside other lucrative sponsorships from brands like Reebok and Reese’s Pieces, the WNBA star is fully more than capable of paying up that sum.
