Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis has stepped up to help a team staffer whose family lost their home in the devastating California wildfires.
Davis contributed $20,000 to a GoFundMe launched by longtime Lakers videographer Rohan Ali, whose childhood home in Altadena was destroyed due to the fires.
According to reports, the house was where Ali’s parents, Gayle and Rasheed, lived for more than 30 years. However, it has now been reduced to ashes, leaving the family heartbroken.

Ali started the fundraiser with the purpose of covering food, housing, transportation, and other costs as his family looks to bounce back from the unexpected tragic event.
Anthony Davis’ generous donation led Lakers teammate Jarred Vanderbilt to also join in to support Ali’s family, as he added $4,000 toward the campaign’s $80,000 goal.
“The support from my Lakers family has been incredible,” Ali wrote on the fundraiser page. “We’re overwhelmed with gratitude.”
The wildfires continue to wreak havoc across the Los Angeles area, displacing many residents.
Among those affected is former NBA player JJ Redick, whose family was forced to evacuate their Pacific Palisades home.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr also revwaled that his mother’s home was destroyed by the wildfires.
