Ayesha Howard has claimed that NBA star Anthony Edwards allegedly asked her to “get da abortion” after she revealed she was pregnant with his child.
According to a Page Six report, Howard requested that their paternity and child support case be heard in California after Edwards filed in Georgia.
Howard alleged that she and Edwards “spent time together in various cities while he played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and during his off-season. In January 2024, she discovered that she was pregnant with his child,” according to documents first obtained by InTouch Weekly.

Ayesha alleged that the Timberwolves star was not happy to hear the news and went on to block her on all platforms after the revelation.
“Upon informing Anthony of the pregnancy, he blocked me on all communication platforms and made it clear, through text messages, that he did not want to be involved in the life of our child. His exact words were that our daughter would be a ‘fatherless child,’” she claimed in the docs.
“From that point on, Anthony never reached out to me to inquire about my well-being, the well-being of our child, or any of the needs I had during my pregnancy. I did not receive any support — emotional, financial, or otherwise — throughout the entire duration of my pregnancy.”
Howard included alleged texts from the 23-year-old star to prove her claims.
In one of the screenshots, the mother of two said: “I’m pregnant… wanted to tell you in person but you gave me no other choice. We probably should have kept it cordial but we’re here now.”
Anthony Edwards allegedly responded, saying: “Ok lol. Get da abortion lol.”
Howard told Edwards in the alleged texts that she would be keeping her pregnancy and could either keep him “updated through the process” or “disappear until the babies [sic] here.”
The NBA star allegedly replied: “Omg [laughing emojis] bye.”
Howard also claimed she asked Edwards if he hated her in another screenshot, and he went on to respond: “Yes. Because you bringing a child in the world that’s gone be without a father.”
Anthony Edwards allegedly told Ayesha Howard that she was “sick” and that he “won’t be in a child life he don’t want.”
Howard claimed in her filing that she repeatedly tried to have conversations with Edwards on the paternity of their “child, asking him for a DNA test, but he only offered a non-legal, unsupervised testing method that made [her] uncomfortable and distrustful.”
“I asked Anthony directly to assist me through the pregnancy, to help provide for the needs of our child, and to participate in a DNA test to confirm paternity. However, Anthony continued to avoid me and refused to engage in any meaningful way,” she alleged in the documents.
Howard, who claims her daughter’s father was later confirmed to be Edwards, also alleged that his attitude towards her “is part of a disturbing pattern of neglect and irresponsibility, particularly in his role as a father,” adding that he has “fathered multiple children with different women in a short period of time and has been involved in serious scandals.”
In October 2024, it was reported that Edwards had filed a petition for paternity and child support in his home state of Georgia the month before.
Howard then took to Instagram to break the news that she had been pregnant with a girl and secretly birthed her on October 14, 2024.
A month on in November, Howard revealed the name of her baby girl Aubri’ Summers.
Ayesha’s issue with Edwards is no strange occurrence in the life of the NBA star.

In December 2023, Anthony Edwards faced backlash after another woman named Paige Jordae posted alleged text messages between her and the shooting guard, in which she claimed he wrote: “Get a abortion lol”, for her to be paid $100,000.
After he came under public ridicule, Edwards released a statement on X, stating that he made those comments “in the heat of a moment” and that they “are not aligned with what I believe and who I want to be as a man.”
“All women should be supported and empowered to make their own decisions about their bodies and what is best for them,” he added.
Since 2020, Edwards has been dating Shannon Jackson and the duo share a daughter Aislynn, who was born in March 2024.

The NBA star is also the alleged father of two other kids: 1-year-old daughter Aris with Daja and 1-year-old son Amir with a woman named Ally D.
