In the video, Carey donned a pink bodysuit with a sheer skirt and matching chunky heels as she sang her 1995 hit and walked slowly across the stage.
She stopped to interact with dancers who were performing with a bit more energy than she was, and her style on the day was simply unlike her usual breathtaking feel to the audience.
During her recent performance, Mariah Carey connected with the crowd using her iconic vocal skills, but her physical movements have sparked mixed reactions on social media from fans.
It was unclear whether the Grammy winner was struggling to keep up with the stage production or was simply too focused on getting the singing right on the day.
Though she lacked a fair bit of energy, Carey did not miss a single lyric and kept smiling throughout her performance.
On social media, Mariah Carey fans have expressed concern about her well-being while others simply used the opportunity to question her ability to keep up with performing at a high level.
“She moves around like she’s an elderly woman”, one user wrote on Instagram.

“NO Mariah disrespect tolerated. She’s a SINGER. A VOCALIST. An ICON. She earned her cemented place in history by her talent and hard work. It’s crazy that society thinks you have to keep pushing yourself when you’ve already outperformed 90% of your peers”, another user stated.
Despite the concerns from her fans, Carey’s “Celebration of Mimi” residency will continue with three more performances on February 12, 14, and 15.
She held a series of Christmas-themed concerts in November and December. Carey will be aiming to have a great year once again.
