Award-winning authors Chimamanda Adichie and Zadie Smith sat down for a hour long chat about Adichie’s latest novel Americanah. The two read excerpts from the book that led to a beautiful discussion on blackness in America and on the continent. Adichie dropped many gems during her dialouge about black hair, the African immigrant experience, the relationship between Africans and African Americans and much more.
The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture Center in Harlem, New York hosted the event and provided a platform for a much needed discussion.
