Avocado soap

Avocado soap

Avocado is generally known to have a lot of benefits to the skin and hair and is incorporated in various DIY beauty projects.

In Kenya, some women have gone into avocado soap production. They make the soap by picking avocados and mashing them into a paste. The paste is mixed with cooking fat or coconut oil into a homogenous mix. Caustic soda is then boiled and continually stirred. After this, the mixture is left to dry into a solid form and cup up as soap. The soap is known to have smoothening properties and helps keep the skin soft and supple.
