Filbert Bayi
Filbert Bayi was one of the best long-distance athletes in the ‘70s. Born in Tanzania in 1953, Bayi set world records for 1500 meters in 1974 and the mile in 1975.
He is still the 1500 m Commonwealth Games record holder.
