It is not strange to hear that some of the notorious African leaders died violently. Most of them were killed by their own soldiers, some of whom pledged their loyalty to them.
A number of these deaths happened usually during military coups, staged to remove them from power for many reasons including suppressing opposition or sheer greed for power.
Some of Africa’s iconic leaders died sad and lonely but others had their assassination-usually gruesome-televised for the whole world to see.
